OPERATION SLEEPING DRAGONS
Presented by: Phoenix (ShadowNET Airsoft)
Date of Event: July 17-18th, 2010 @ 1800 hours

Situational Briefing:
On July 2nd, 2010, Special Operations and Counter Terrorist units came into possession of intelligence that four briefcase sized tactical nuclear devices were brought into the country two months prior. With this information, it's taken them only a few hours to determine exactly who has them, and why.

A Terrorist Cell known as the Lobomalo cell, have acquired these nukes in hopes to sell them to an allied so-far unknown cell. The drop won't happen until July 18th, at 0600 hours, and a Special Operations Counter Terrorist Unit was sent in the day before. Their mission was a failure, and the Lobomalo cell has taken them prisoner for information, as well as to ensure safe delivery of the goods. It is however, unclear as to the reasons the Lobomalo don't just kill off the SOCTU captives.

Additionally, the Lobomalo cell has been known to aid drug and crime syndicates in South America, through funds raised by selling weapons of these caliber to third party collectors and other interested cells.

SOCTU was formed under General Holden, a very well decorated man who has completed countless counter terrorist operations in his 20 year career. He is very outspoken against any group that tries to break the foundations of the country. Collaborating with each of the branches of the military, he managed to form SOCTU with full sanction of the US Government. He runs the teams like they are a totally separate branch of the military.

Required on the Field:
-Chemlites and Red Rags for wounded/dead status at night.
-Flashlights
-Field Approved face and eye protection.
-Barrel Condoms
-Sleeping arrangement, you will be camping on the field.
-Watch for time sensitive matters, including bleedout and time sensitive objectives

Lobomalo Cell Objectives:
-Hide the “Sleeping Dragons” from SOCTU teams
-Prevent SOCTU Team 1 Rescue
-Protect Lobomalo Leader
-Determine the Drop Point
-Deliver the goods to the buyer.

SOCTU Objectives:
-Rescue Team 1
-Locate “Sleeping Dragons”
-Place tracking devices on each of the sleeping dragons
-Locate and Interrogate Lobomalo Leader
-Intervene during weapons drop / deal.
-Return to Evac site.

NOTE:
Part of the intervention during the weapons drop, depending on outcome of previous objectives, may require images. Recommend bringing a digital camera or other photographic device to complete objective.

NORMAL MEDIC RULE APPLIES
If hit, you have a 5 minute bleed-out, in which the medic can attend to you. If within that time, you haven't been assisted by a medic, you will be required to return to respawn and wait 10 minutes. Medics must keep physical contact for 60 seconds (1 full minute) before you are able to return to the fight. If wounded, you are NOT allowed to communicate anything other than you need medic attention. You are not allowed to move from where you are, unless it's for safety reasons. Only a live player can move you, and bring you to a medic, and while being moved, the wounded should not lead the way. There must be physical contact during the movement.

UNIFORMS:
SOCTU Teams - Black / Tan based uniforms
LOBOMALO Terror Cell - Civilian Clothing

Timeline of events to follow.

Hey,

I learned about this event from some dude at Dick's.

I want to attend, but there's a few problems.

1. I've never attended an airsoft event of any kind before. I just kind of shoot at targets for fun.

2. I'm 13 (But if I wanted to I could fake 16) and not sure I'd be able to participate.

3. I have a set of BDU's, however they're in woodland camouflage, not black or tan.

What do you think the odds are?

You are welcome to attend the AM Run and Gun games, but the Op is specific for reasons. Being 13, unless you have a parent with you, I do not recommend you attend, not just because of age, but because of the caliber of the players who will be attending it.

I do recommend you showing up for the Run and Gun games in the morning, because it will be a lot of fun, and a good way for you to get to know more about the sport before jumping into a milsim op like this one. Get to know the players during the run and guns, get to know the rules and safety regulations that need to be followed. So again, I invite you for the run and gun, but don't recommend the operation for you.
